“ Right behind all the restaurants along the Coronado Bay is this hidden gem. This was my favorite restaurant in San Diego throughout my trip here. I had the gnocchi with sausage, complimentary bread and the chocolate mousse cake. All of these meals were fantastic and I’d go back here again if I’m ever in town. Compliments to the chefs! ”
“ Easy walk from the ferry, delicious sandwiches and desserts. The pistachio ricotta tart was a shining star. We did not make a reservation to eat here ”
“ I go back over and over to that place. It’s one of my favorite spot! ”
“ The location of the cafe was extremely close to the oceanfront less than one minute. The outside section was very nice and even inside of you want more quiet. The cappuccino was really tasty . If you are a fan of coffee ask to get double shots with oat milk with small cup extra hot . The cake was very delicious. TWO HOURS free car parking in front of the cafe. Thanks for the staff for the kindness and smiles ”
“ So I have lived in Coronado for 32 years, and for some reason have never gone to Tartine for dinner. Breakfast and lunch, yes but for my birthday this year my wife and I decided to give it a try. It was fabulous! We had the Shrimp Scampi, and the Beef Stroganoff, both were excellent. HUGE portions, but that's not why I was impressed. The flavor was spot on for both, and you could tell that the kitchen staff were very well trained. We also had the Red Bell Pepper Risotto, and the flavor was amazing! It was just too much food, and we took about half of it home. I'm looking forward to the leftovers for lunch. Unfortunately we had no room left in our stomachs for dessert. Thanks Tartine and Staff for making my birthday memorable. ”
“ I wish they would allow you to make easy substitutions. They’re very strict on sticking to their menu. A few people have commented on this, but it is what it is. Their chocolate bread pudding is undeniably the best I’ve ever had. ”
“ Stopped by at night for a quick pastry and a coffee. Started off with wonderful service, the gentleman who served us was very kind and seemed happy to be there, which is rare these days. The lemon meringue was divine, the ricotta pistachio tart was good, but the crust lacked any pistachio flavor. Regardless, our coffees were well made, and the desserts were large and yummy. I'm definitely going to come back for a full meal and another round of pastries. ”
“ One of the best places for bread pudding and coffee. The food is great and you have to try their specials. The chefs specials are unique and very delicious. Very nice atmosphere and they allow dogs outside and seating inside and out is very good. On the corner of the orange Ave which is the best view to take pictures with San Diego downtown background Don't skip this place. Drinks are very good here. Coffee is great ”
